PSITTACUS Maintenance Mini (Cockatiel)

Psittacus Mini Maintenance Formula – for Conures, Caiques, Galahs, Rosellas, Cockatiels, Ring-necked Parakeets and Alexandrine Parakeets.

Use

This product is intended for small-sized species such asConures, Caiques, Galahs, Rosellas, Cockatiels, Ring-necked Parakeets and Alexandrine Parakeets (including all those of the genera Nymphicus, Eolophus, Aratinga, Platycercus, etc.). Maintenance foods are formulated to feed pet birds and reproductive birds during non-reproductive periods. Their composition meets the nutritional requirements of birds at these times.

Directions for use

It is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot’s diet in non-reproductive periods. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are provided daily to lend variety to the diet, we recommend that Psittacus should constitute no less than 70-80% of the total intake. During the breeding season, parrots should always have access to our Psittacus Eggfood and Calcium Grit Fine. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose basic principal food is Psittacus. It is appropriate to renew food and water daily. Store in a cool dry place after opening (while refrigeration is not advised, freezing is possible if it is hermetically sealed).

Daily intake

Birds consumption is around 10% of their body weight daily. For example, a cockatiel consumes about 10 g per day.

Composition

Cereal grains, products and by-products of oil seeds and fruits, vegetable oils, dried whole egg, dried brewer’s yeast, products and by-products of tubers and roots, minerals, inulin (0.05%)

Mixture of flavouring compounds, rosemary extract (contains yucca extract 0.015%) / Sepiolite / Tocopherol-rich extracts of natural origin, palmitoyl-6- ascorbic acid / Compounds of trace elements (ferrous chelate, cupric chelate, manganese chelate, zinc chelate; calcium iodate anhydrous and hydroxy-analogue of selenomethionine) / Vitamins, pro-vitamins and chemically well-defined substances having similar effects (A, D3, E, C, K, B1, B2, B6, B12, Pantothenic acid, Niacin, Folic acid, Biotin, Choline
chloride, B-carotene, Betaine anhydrous)
