The recommended magnesium level typically falls between 1300 to 1350 mg/L (at 35 salinity). This solution is highly concentrated, meaning only a small amount needs to be added to the aquarium water to achieve the desired magnesium levels. The recommended dosing is 50 ml per 100 liters (26 US gallons) of water, which increases the magnesium content by approximately 100 mg per liter. It’s important not to exceed a maximum daily dose of increasing magnesium by more than 100 ml per 100 liters to avoid over-dosing.
