Tropical River Soil – DOOA

TROPICAL RIVER SOIL, made from natural soil, is a substrate material ideal for aquariums and terrariums/paludariums . It makes the aquarium water mildly acidic for aquatic plants and fish.

This substrate material reproduces a tropical atmosphere with exposed red soil. It proposes a new idea of cosmetic soil.

Due to the nature of the base soil, the granular shape stays for a long period, and it also lowers the pH level. Since the amount of organic matter is not as high as that of ADA Amazonia, plants grow slower in DOOA Tropical river soil. The Aqua Soil Series decreases the hardness of the water and lowers the PH level to the degree to which most aquatic plants can consume nutrients and comfortably grow. Aqua Soil granules maintain their shape and density for long periods underwater securing good circulation of water and oxygen through the substrate. With Aqua Soil, growing difficult plants such as Tonina sp. becomes easier, and it is ideal for fishes demanding soft water.
